Juniors

 

• Mannamead LTC has over recent years made a large effort in starting and developing a Junior section thanks to the hard work and dedication of a few of our senior members.

• Mannamead LTC has over 80 Junior Members between the ages of 4 and 18 and has a programme to support all ages and ability.

• The Club offers 4 Junior sessions on Saturday mornings, inclusive of membership, namely ‘Players new to Tennis', ‘Mini Tennis', ‘Improving Players' and ‘Team Players'. The sessions are led by tennis coaches John and Glen Richards and supported by Junior Assistants John Mullin, Heather Dixon, George Leidig and Luke Rodd.

• Smaller Squad sessions take place throughout the year and are typically aimed at those ‘New to Tennis', ‘Improving Players', ‘High Potential Players' and ‘Team Players'. Squad players have all been given Club T-shirts and named Hoodies.

• Individual coaching is also available.

• Some of our Juniors play for the club in the Plymouth & District Summer League.

• John Mullin is captaining a Junior Team in the National Junior Club League. Squad members include Evan Cox, George Leidig, Jack Middleton, Luke Rodd and Alex Peers-Jones.
